New to fostering?

Already a foster carer?

The rewards of foster caring extend far beyond the positive influence on a child, as fostering can bring personal growth, fulfilment, and a sense of purpose to your own life.

Together, we can create a brighter future for vulnerable children and build a more compassionate society.

Thinking about fostering?

Becoming a foster parent is an extraordinary opportunity to provide stability, care, and love to a child who may have experienced adversity. By offering your home and becoming part of the vital network of children’s services in the UK, you can make a significant and lasting impact on a child’s life.

Fostering comes in many forms, it can be a very short term arrangement, or it can mean giving a home to a child until they reach adulthood.

There are many reasons why children need to be looked after and there are many people, with different skills and experiences who become foster carers.

There is no such thing as a typical fostering situation. If you decide to become a foster carer, you will have plenty of opportunity to explore which type of fostering would be right for you and your family.

Any of us… because it really can be

That’s the message of a powerful new fostering film – any of us can foster a child or young person, if you have the capacity to care.

‘Any Of Us’ is the sixth film produced by a growing partnership of local councils and children’s trusts to promote local authority fostering. Having grown from a small Midlands consortium in 2017, the ‘Any Of Us’ project is the largest public sector film collaboration yet, now with over 80 participants from Northumberland to Cambridge and Liverpool to Brighton.

Why foster with us?

Our fostering service is part of Sandwell Children’s Trust.  We are a not for profit fostering agency, that operates exclusively in Sandwell. We are responsible for all children in care in the Sandwell borough.
