We held our annual FIYA Awards on Wednesday evening at Tipton Sports Academy.
Young people and staff were joined by the Mayoress of Sandwell, Cllr Sayeda Khatun along with the Leader of the Council, Kerrie Carmichael; Lead Member for Children, Cllr Jalal Uddin; DCS, Sally Giles; and Linda Sanders, our Interim Trust Board Chair. Everyone helped present awards and the main difference this year was that everyone was a winner. Over 100 young people were nominated and they all received a certificate and a medal.
The House Project took to the stage to talk about their first group of young people who are progressing well and they also received medals for their achievements.
A big thank you to our care experienced young people who did a fantastic job presenting throughout the evening. The evening was enjoyed by all with good music, delicious food and testimonies shared by our young people.
Thank you to everyone who took time to put their nominations forward and congratulations to all of our young people recognised for their achievements.
Well done to Abdul and the Voice Team for another successful evening celebrating our young people.
